4 Luxury wellness tools that are so worth the investment

Luxury wellness tools

Luxury wellness worth saving for

Living a wellness lifestyle doesn’t have to break the bank. However saving your pennies for a pricey luxury wellness tool is so worth it if it helps you sweat, nourish and glow everyday for years to come. Here I share 4 fabulous (but pricey) wellness tools where the health, wellness and enjoyment benefits are absolutely worth setting up a little wellness savings account for. These high quality tools are among my favorite things, I use each one regularly and have done so for at least 5 years.

SWEAT ESCAPE

The unbelievably hot and sticky Georgia heat has not made my infrared sauna redundant. Getting my sweat on in my little wooden shack in the basement continues to be one of my favorite things to do. I’ve had my Del Mar sauna for 6 years, it’s had 3 homes in two different states and it continues to be one of my most prized luxury wellness possessions and favorite me-time pastimes. To my little cedar box I retreat to detox, meditate, read, stretch, roll, nap and more.  It’s so much more than a sweat box, it’s an escape.
Sweating is recognized as a method of health promotion that dates back to ancient times. It has been well documented that skin is an important organ of elimination. New research demonstrates that sweating might even be an excellent way to excrete certain toxic elements.

SUBSCRIBE & SPIN

I brought cycling class home with me and 5 years later I still love to sweat at home in my underwear. My Peloton indoor cycle is one of my favorite fitness things.
I am motivated by awards. Earning my last 7-week streak badge was so important to me that I dragged myself onto my bike and rode half ass to get the damn badge. That is how powerful tracking metrics and rewards are. It is infinitely easier it is to drag yourself to a workout when no clothing, car, or cheery receptionist is required.
You can ride fast or slow, set goals, be alone or with hundreds of fellow riders, rock out to the hits or a podcast, watch the news or the neighborhood go by out the window. Exercise at home on a solid and smooth piece of equipment that comes with a powerful motivation and tracking platform is worth the initial cost and monthly subscription.
Starting at $2259 + $39/month subscription (optional)

BLEND & NOURISH

My Vitamix 7500 blender runs at least twice a day. A smoothie that’s not smooth is not worth the shopping and chopping. Make your daily shakes silky and nourishing and you’ll never tire of them. To do this you need the powerful motor and indestructible beast of a blender like the Vitamix. Save yourself from clumpy shakes and an annual trip to department store to replace a crappy blender, go all out on a Vitamix and you won’t be sorry.

JUICE PRESS

The goodness that can be pressed from fresh organic produce will heal your body. What more convincing do you need than that? Get yourself a juicer and don’t skimp on a cheap one. I love my Omega 8006 which has a powerful motor, solid construction and is easy to clean. These features will make your wellness rituals super potent and way more efficient.
Remember that those $10 bottles of juice in the cooler at the market are pasteurized and lack the nutrients of fresh juice so ultimately you save money and get more nourishment when you spend the extra dough to get a quality juicer. The Omega is a bit heavy but I’ll take quiet over lightweight and it’s so quiet.
